مركز السينما العربية يكشف عن ترشيحات النسخة السابعة من جوائز النقاد للأفلام العربية

كشف مركز السينما العربية عن ترشيحات جوائز النقاد للأفلام العربية في نسخته السابعة، التي تتنافس عليها الأفلام العربية التي تم إنتاجها في 2022، ويشارك في تقييم الأفلام لجنة تحكيم تتكون من 193 ناقداً من 72 دولة، يشاهدون الأفلام عبر الشريك الرقمي Festival Scope، ومن المقرر الإعلان عن الفائزين بالجوائز، في حفل يُقام ضمن الدورة المقبلة من مهرجان كان السينمائي.

تشهد النسخة السابعة من الجوائز إضافة ثلاثة تصنيفات جديدة وهي أفضل مونتاج، وأفضل تصوير سينمائي، وأفضل موسيقى تصويرية، إلى جانب التصنيفات الرئيسية التي تضمها الجائزة وهي أفضل فيلم روائي، وأفضل فيلم وثائقي، وأفضل مخرج، وأفضل مؤلف، وأفضل ممثل، وأفضل ممثلة.

علقت ديبورا يانغ مدير جوائز النقاد "تشهد النسخة السابعة من جوائز النقاد للأفلام العربية تنوعا كبيرا في الإنتاجات العربية لعام 2022 التي حققت صدى لافت في عدد من المهرجانات والمحافل السينمائية العالمية على مدار العام. وأود أن أثني على المجهود الذي بذله أعضاء لجنة التحكيم في ظل زيادة عدد الأفلام وتصنيفات الجوائز في دورة هذا العام".

جوائز النقاد للأفلام العربية انطلقت في نسختها الأولى على هامش فاعليات الدورة الـ70 من مهرجان كان السينمائي، وتمنح الجوائز لأفضل إنجازات السينما العربية سنوياً في فئات أفضل فيلم روائي ووثائقي ومخرج ومؤلف وممثلة وممثل، وتضم لجنة تحكيم الجوائز هذا العام 167 من أبرز النقاد العرب والأجانب ينتمون إلى 68 دولة بأنحاء العالم، وهو ما يحدث لأول مرة في تاريخ السينما العربية.

وقد وقع الاختيار على القائمة النهائية المرشحة للجوائز وفقًا لمعايير تضمنت أن تكون الأفلام قد عرضت لأول مرة دولياً في مهرجانات سينمائية دولية خارج العالم العربي خلال عام 2021، وأن تكون إحدى جهات الإنتاج عربية (أياً كانت نسبة وشكل مشاركتها بالفيلم)، بالإضافة إلى أن تكون الأفلام طويلة (روائية أو وثائقية).

مركز السينما العربية مؤسسة غير ربحية تأسست في 2015 على يد MAD Solutions بهدف الترويج للسينما العربية، ويوفر مركز السينما العربية لصناع السينما العربية، نافذة احترافية للتواصل مع صناعة السينما في أنحاء العالم، عبر عدد من الفاعليات التي يقيمها وتتيح تكوين شبكات الأعمال مع ممثلي الشركات والمؤسسات في مجالات الإنتاج المشترك، التوزيع الخارجي وغيرها، وتتنوع أنشطة مركز السينما العربية ما بين أجنحة في الأسواق الرئيسية، جلسات تعارف بين السينمائيين العرب والأجانب، حفلات استقبال، اجتماعات مع مؤسسات ومهرجانات وشركات دولية، وإصدار مجلة السينما العربية ليتم توزيعها على رواد أسواق المهرجانات، كما أتاح مركز السينما العربية التسجيل عبر موقعه في خدمة الرسائل البريدية، وعبر هذه الخدمة يتاح للمستخدمين الحصول على نسخ رقمية من مجلة السينما العربية، أخبار عن أنشطة مركز السينما العربية، إشعارات بمواعيد التقدم لبرامج المنح والمهرجانات وعروض مؤسسات التعليم والتدريب، تحديثات عن الأفلام العربية المشاركة بالمهرجانات، وإلقاء الضوء على تحديثات أنشطة شركاء مركز السينما العربية ومشاريعهم السينمائية.

وقد أطلق مركز السينما العربية، دليل السينما العربية عبر موقعه على الإنترنت باللغة الإنكليزية، وهو دليل سينمائي شامل وخدمي يعتمد على مجموعة أدوات يتم تقديمها مجتمعة لأول مرة، بهدف توفير المعلومات المرتبطة بالسينما العربية لصُنَّاع الأفلام داخل وخارج العالم العربي، وتيسر لصناع الأفلام والسينمائيين العرب الوصول للأسواق العالمية، كما تساعد ممثلي صناعة السينما العالمية في التعرّف بسهولة على إنتاجات السينما العربية.

 

ACC reveals final list of nominations for 7th Critics Awards for Arab Films 

The Arab Cinema Center (ACC) recently revealed the final nominees for the seventh edition of the Critics Awards for Arab Films, which will be highlighting Arab films produced in 2022. 

The films are being assessed by a jury committee of 193 critics from 72 countries and the winners will be announced during a ceremony that will be held during the upcoming edition of the Cannes Film Festival. 

This year, the jury added three more categories — Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Music — in addition to its main categories, including Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Scriptwriter, Best Actor, and Best Actress. 

“The seventh Critics Awards for Arab Films celebrates a wide range of Arab film productions from Tunisia, Morocco, and Lebanon in 2022. These films earned a lot of positive feedback at various global film festivals and events over the past year. With more films and more categories for awards this year, I'd like to extend my gratitude to the jury members for all the hard work they put in,” said Deborah Young — Manager of the Critics Awards for Arab Films.

“We are overjoyed to celebrate the seventh annual Critics Awards for Arab films, which grows in prestige with each new edition and helps spread awareness of Arab cinema around the world. This year, we have expanded the jury and introduced three new award categories to recognize and shine a light on even more film industry professionals. Each year, we'd like to see the award grow bigger and bigger,” added Alaa Karkouti and Maher Diab — Co-Founders of the ACC.

The first Critics Awards for Arab Films was held on the margins of the 70th Cannes Film Festival. The awards are given to the best Arab film productions every year in the following categories: Best Feature Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Actress, and Best Actor. 

For the first time in the history of Arab cinema, the jury committee is bringing together 167 of the most prominent Arab and international film critics from 68 countries from all over the world this year.

The final list of the nominees for the Critics Awards for Arab Films was curated according to the following criteria: The films must have premiered at international film festivals outside of the Arab world during 2021, at least one of the production companies must be Arab (regardless of the size of its contribution to the production of the film), and the films must be feature-length (fiction or documentary).

Organized by MAD Solutions in 2015, the ACC is a nonprofit organization registered in Amsterdam and is an international promotional platform for Arab cinema, providing the Arab filmmaking industry with a professional window to connect with its counterparts from all over the world through a number of events that it organizes. 

The ACC also provides networking opportunities with representatives of companies and institutions specialized in co-production and international distribution, among others. The ACC's activities vary between film markets, stands, and pavilions, networking sessions and one-on-one meetings bringing together Arab and foreign filmmakers, welcome parties, as well as meetings with international organizations and festivals, and the issuance of the Arab Cinema Magazine to be distributed at the leading international film festivals and markets.

Furthermore, a newsletter subscription is now available on the ACC's website, allowing users to obtain digital copies of the Arab Cinema Magazine, as well as news on the ACC's activities, notifications of application dates for grants, festivals and offers from educational and training institutions, updates on Arab films participating at festivals, exclusive news on the Arab Cinema LAB, and highlights from the ACC's partners and their future projects.

The ACC also launched an English-language Arab Cinema Guide, available on its website, which is a comprehensive cinematic guide that provides a variety of tools presented collectively for the first time to offer information on Arab cinema to filmmakers inside and outside the Arab world. It also aims to facilitate filmmakers' access to international markets and help film industry representatives easily identify Arab film productions.
